Pierre Jérôme
Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer
Pierre Jérôme founded SpineGuard S.A. with Stéphane Bette in April 2009. Mr. Jérôme has more than 17 years of experience in the medical industry, half in spine.
Prior to founding SpineGuard, Mr. Jérôme served as Vice President Sales & Marketing for SpineVision S.A., a privately-owned integrated spinal technology company focused on the development and marketing of implants and instrumentation for spinal treatment, from December 2005 to March 2009. Before joining SpineVision, Mr. Jérôme held various senior positions in sales, marketing and general management from 1997 to 2005 in both in the US and in Europe with Boston Scientific Corp., a company focused on less-invasive device technologies across the medical industry. Prior to joining BSC, he served five years with Sofamor Danek, a pioneering spine company which has since been integrated by Medtronic, today’s Spine leader. While at Sofamor Danek, Mr. Jérôme held several marketing positions, including European Marketing Director.
Mr. Jérôme received a Master degree in Management from the INSEEC School of Business Bordeaux, France.

Stéphane Bette
Co-founder, Chief Technical Officer and US General Manager
Mr. Bette brings more than 13 years of R&D and general management experience in the Spine industry.
Prior to founding SpineGuard, Mr. Bette was a member of the foundational team of SpineVision , a privately-owned integrated spinal technology company focused on the development and marketing of implants and instrumentation for spinal surgery , where he served for 10 years at various positions of increasing responsibilities from R&D Project Management to VP of R&D and finally US General Manager. Mr. Bette began his career in 1996 as R&D Project Manager with Sofamor Danek, a pioneering spine company which has since been integrated by Medtronic, today’s spine leader, where he developed a scoliosis system. Mr. Bette received a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from ENSAM, France and a Post-graduate Degree in Biomechanics from LBM in Paris, France.

Edie Evers
Chief Financial Officer
Edie Evers joined SpineGuard as Chief Financial Officer in April 2009. Prior to joining SpineGuard, Ms. Evers was employed by SpineVision, from 2007 until 2009 as Chief Financial Officer of SpineVision’s U.S. subsidiary.
Ms. Evers also worked at Wright Medical Technology, Inc., from 1999 until 2007 starting as a Senior Accountant and most recently, she was Senior Manager for International Finance, overseeing international accounting, finance and tax reporting. Ms. Evers has 20 years experience in finance and accounting, including 10 years in the medical device industry.
Ms. Evers is a licensed CPA in the State of Tennessee and holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of Memphis.

James Coyle
Vice President, US Sales
Mr. Coyle joined SpineGuard in April of 2009, participating in the successful creation of this new company focused on the PediGuard spinal device. Prior to this launch, he served in the same role as Vice President, US Sales, for SpineVision (January 2008) a privately held, international spinal implant company.
With over 22 years in the medical sales industry - 18 of those years in spinal devices, Mr. Coyle took on sales management roles with start-up companies AOI Medical and K2M beginning in 2005. Before that, Mr. Coyle served in various sales and management roles with spine industry leaders, DePuy Spine, Medtronic Sofamor Danek and Orthofix, starting in 1991. He began his medical sales career with Baxter Healthcare after graduation in 1987.
Mr. Coyle has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Colorado School of Business.
